“Go Somewhere Else…”

Blessings folk!

Jesus left the house early in the morning, before dark.
He found a secluded place to pray.

Then…

Mar 1:36-39
Simon and his companions searched for Him;

they found Him, and said to Him, “Everyone is looking for You.”

He said to them, “Let us go somewhere else to the towns nearby,
so that I may preach there also; for that is what I came for.”

And He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee,
preaching and casting out the demons.

Simon and friends searched for Jesus.

Why?

Because everyone was looking for Him.

They wanted more.
More healing.
More deliverance from demons.
These are all fine, but I suspect there was more.

I think they wanted more of the “amazing show”.
Why do I think that?
Because of what Jesus said.

He wanted to go somewhere else.
He was not going to allow the work of the Kingdom to morph into a side-show.
He was not going to be distracted by “everyone…looking for You”.

He came to preach the Kingdom.
He preached the Kingdom.
In the synagogues throughout all Galilee.

He preached.
He cast out demons.
He set the captive free.

Those who are true believers are to do likewise.
