“Hawk. Eagle.”

Blessings folk!

The Lord’s questions to Job continue…

Job 39:26-30

“Is it by your understanding that the hawk soars
and spreads his wings toward the south?

Is it at your command that the eagle mounts up
and makes his nest on high?

On the rock he dwells and makes his home,
on the rocky crag and stronghold.

From there he spies out the prey;
his eyes behold it from far away.

His young ones suck up blood,
and where the slain are, there is he.”

The hawk soars!
By the understanding of man?
Nope.

The eagle mount up?
By the command of the Lord?
Nope.

Only by the hand of God.

Note the detail about the eagle…

  • Mounts up
  • Nests on high
  • Rock dweller
  • Spies out prey from afar

Be reminded…

Isa 40:31

but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.

Wait on the Lord.
