“Boasting…”
Blessings folk!
In what do you boast?
As Believers, in what do we speak…boast…proclaim?
Too often we boast…
- in the things we do for God
- in the blessings of the Lord
Hear what Paul had determined he was to boast in…
Rom 15:17-19
Therefore in Christ Jesus I have found reason for boasting in things pertaining to God.
For I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me, resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed,
in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and round about as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
There is the word again…”therefore”…a point of conclusion from previous writing.
It is in Christ Jesus that Paul found reason for boasting in the things of God.
Christ alone.
He determined to not presume to speak of anything except Jesus Christ.
How different the Body would be if we did likewise.
Let us do so.
Speak of what He has accomplished.
Speak of His works.
Speak of His power.
Speak of His wonders.
Manifest the deeds of the Lord.
Manifest the power of the Spirit.
As we are going…here…there…everywhere…fully preaching the good news of Christ.
