“Thus Noah Did...”
Blessings folk!
The Lord told Noah what He was about to do. The Lord told Noah why - the wickedness of the world.
Why did the Lord tell Noah? Because Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
The Lord told Noah... - to build an Ark - to gather the animals that the Lord would send/provide - to provide food for himself and the animals
Gen 6:21 “As for you, take for yourself some of all food which is edible, and gather it to yourself; and it shall be for food for you and for them.”
All of this is based upon the Covenant that the Lord made with Noah. What was Noah’s response?
Gen 6:22 Thus Noah did; according to all that God had commanded him, so he did.
He did all that God commanded him. So he did. All.
Even though it had never rained before, he began to build a giant boat for a flood. Even though he had to know that the wicked would berate and attack him. Even though he knew that as he spoke the truth, no one would believe.
Yet, he did all that God commanded. May we do likewise.
