“The Holy One From Mount Paran”

Blessings folk!

We continue looking at a prayer in Habakkuk 3.

We have looked at verses 1 and 2.

Read again and continue…

Hab 3:1-4

A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet, according to Shigionoth.

LORD, I have heard the report about You and I fear.
O LORD, revive Your work in the midst of the years,
In the midst of the years make it known;
In wrath remember mercy.

God comes from Teman,
And the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah.
His splendor covers the heavens,
And the earth is full of His praise.

His radiance is like the sunlight;
He has rays flashing from His hand,
And there is the hiding of His power.

God comes from Teman: the south.
The Holy One (Jesus) from Mount Paran…I believe this has some significance related to end time activities. The Lord Jesus is shown to be in many places doing many things at the end of the days. Scripture speaks of the “wilderness of Paran”.

Selah.
This means “think on that, reflect, meditate”.
It also means “take an instrumental ride…solo”.
Depends upon the context.
Here it means “think about that”.

What do we learn about the Holy One?

  • His splendor covers the heavens
  • The earth is full of His praise
  • His radiance is like the sunlight
  • He has rays flashing from His hand
  • He has hidden power…veiled in His hands

This is just a hint of the Holy One that is coming.

Are you ready?
