Now, Jesus was turning the tables.

He asked the Pharisees a question.
“What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is He?”

The Pharisees immediately responded - the son of David.

Jesus then brought forth the theological conundrum...if David calls Him ‘Lord’, how is He his son?

No one had an answer.
No one questioned Jesus from that day on.
They simply planned to kill Him.

Tremendous revelation and detail were prophesied about the Lord in the Old Testament.
We see much on this side of Calvary.

Note that David received this revelation “in the Holy Spirit.”
David knew that Messiah would come from his line.
So did the Pharisees.
Yet, they feared the Lord when He stood before them.
They refused to see.

Do we?
