We see in this portion of the Word that Jesus arose early in the morning, departed from the group, sought a secluded place and prayed.

It seem to be His habit to arise and pray before the break of dawn...something that we all should emulate.

The disciple followed at some time and found Him.

They were expressing to Jesus the fact that the people were looking for Him, yet Jesus seemed unmoved by the interest of the people.

Jesus states that they must go elsewhere.
He must preach in the surrounding villages also.
It was for that reason that He came.

How did He know that He was to go at that particular time?

He arose early in the morning.
He went to a secluded place.
He prayed.

Jesus had heard from Father what to do.

Upon learning, He obeyed.
He was not tempted by the disciples.
He was not dissuaded by the demands and desires of the people.

He simply obeyed.

May we do likewise.
May we proclaim the good news of the Kingdom.

Pray for Noah and Linda.
