Neh 9:12-13
You led our ancestors by a pillar of cloud during the day
and a pillar of fire at night so that they could find their way.

“You came down at Mount Sinai and spoke to them from heaven.
You gave them regulations and instructions that were just,
and decrees and commands that were good.

The Lord led their ancestors by a pillar of cloud during the day…
The Lord led by a pillar of fire at night…
Both so they could find their way.

The Lord came down at Mount Sinai and spoke to them from heaven.
He spoke to them…through angels…through Moses…through sound…

The Lord gave them regulations and instructions that were just…
The Lord gave them decrees and commands that were good…

The people knew the goodness of the Lord.

They had rebelled.

They had sinned.

They were now repenting.

So should we.
