“Remember Me”

Blessings folk!

Today’s reading:
Matthew 27:44
Mark 15:32
Luke 23:39-43

Jesus was accounted with criminals.
He was hung between two criminals...two thieves.

The thieves berated Jesus with insults.
They used the same words of those of the world who were passing by and the Religionists who were holding watch.

The Religionists were spouting forth false promises…”...come off the cross and we will believe.”

Everyone was hurling abuse.

One thief cried out to Jesus. “Are you not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!”

The other thief rebuked him.
  • do you not fear God (apparently the thieves feared God!)
  • they were under the same condemnation by man
  • they were guilty, they were justly being executed (for robbery!?)
  • Jesus was not guilty

This thief then asked Jesus to remember him in His kingdom!
What does this mean?
It is a declaration of belief in Jesus...Who He is.
Jesus stated that “today you shall be with Me in Paradise”.

Wow.

What is Paradise?
Is “today” a literal 24-hour period referencing today...or a time period?

Regardless, upon death, the thief was “with Jesus”.

Are you?
