“Destroy...Take Captive”

Blessings folk!

The shield of faith.
It enables us to fiend off the fiery darts of the evil one.

Eph 6:16
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

We are in a battle.
The enemy seeks to kill, steal, destroy.

Read what the Lord says…

2 Co 10:3-6
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh,
for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.
We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,
and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete.

Look at what we as True Believers are to do…

• not war according to the flesh, though we walk (exist) in the flesh
• destroy fortresses...spiritual fortresses…
• use the divinely powerful weapons of warfare...not of the flesh
• destroy speculations
• destroy lofty things raised up against the knowledge of God
• take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ

We are called...we have a responsibility and instruction...to destroy speculations related to the knowledge of God. And yet, we allow things to be taught in “bible schools”, seminaries and the like that usually shock folk when they hear them.

We are called...we have a responsibility and instruction...to destroy the lofty things raised up against the knowledge of God. Yet, we do not do so. Note the intensity. Destroy! Not massage. Not placate. Destroy these “lofty things”.

We are called...we have a responsibility and instruction...to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

How different would our lives be if every thought...everyone...was submitted to the obedience of the Lord.
