“Divorce”

God does not like divorce.
He designed marriage - the coming together of a man and woman in covenant under God - to be a lifetime event.

Jesus was stating the truth of the Lord.
Whoever divorces his wife...except for immorality...and marries another woman commits adultery.

Moses/the Law “allowed” divorce due to the hardness of the heart of the people.

The Lord is telling us to not divorce.

The “exception clause” is not a “get outta jail free” card.

Many people treat it that way.
They refuse to forgive, rather playing the religious martyr since they have “Scriptural cause.”

The Lord desires that we not divorce.
The Lord desires that we forgive.

Forgive one another that divorce may be avoided.
Forgive those who are divorced.

The Lord does give a place to begin again.
