"Blessings and Love"

“Blessings and Love”

Blessings folk!

The passage we having been reading the past few days has been described as “the marks of a true Christian”, “Christian ethics”, etc.

Useful.

These instructions/commands are simply the life of OneAnother.

Read again.
A couple of verses have been added - 9, 14.
What do we learn?

Romans 12:9-14
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.

10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;

11 not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;

12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,

13 contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

We are to love...without hypocrisy.
Hypocrisy is one of the subtle strategies of the evil one.
It is rampant within the professing church.
Be not a hypocrite.

Then…
Abhor what is evil.
Reject evil.
Have nothing to do with evil.

Rather…
Cling to what is good.

So…
We reject the evil.
We cling to the good.

Finally, for today…
We are to bless.
Bless those who persecute.
We are not to curse anyone...friend nor foe.
Speak blessings.
Watch what the Lord does.
