"Grace and Peace…"

“Grace and Peace…”

Blessings folk!

Psalm 119 gives us much information related to the Law of the Lord.

How does this relate to the Body of Christ?
How do we as New Covenant Creations live?

Reflecting upon this...time to examine Ephesians. Happy

Read the following
Often we give little heed to the “intros”.
Examine every phrase.
Every word.
What do you learn about the author?
What do you learn about the recipients?

Ephesians 1:1-2
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To the saints who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul…

  • an apostle…one sent forth as a messenger...of Christ Jesus
  • an apostle by the will of God. Not the will of Paul. Not the will of man. God.
  • spoke grace to the Ephesians
  • spoke peace to the Ephesians
  • acknowledged that the grace/peace are from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ

Recipients/Ephesians
  • saints...they were True Believers
  • they are in Ephesus
  • they are faithful in Christ Jesus. Not faithful in their ability. Not faithful in their strength.

This is who we are as True Believers…
  • saints...holy ones
  • faithful

Does this describe us?

This is what we are to do…
  • impart grace to one another
  • speak peace to one another.

Do we?

Let us do so...impart grace, speak peace…
This is the will of God.
