“They Will Not Endure Sound Doctrine”

Blessings folk!

We continue to look at 2 Timothy 4.

Read again.
Repetition is the heart of learning.

2 Ti 4:1-5

I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus,
who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:

preach the word; be ready in season and out of season;
reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,

and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship,
do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

The Spirit tells us that the “time will come…”

The time has come.

Note what the people “do”…

They will not endure sound doctrine.
They will not endure the Truth of the Word.

Such is the case today.
Don’t believe?
Just speak the Truth of the Word consistently and watch the reaction.
I’ve been told “don’t quote the Bible so much”…yes, likely said in jest, yet an undercurrent of truth.
I’ve been told “don’t read/share/speak of Scripture during worship service…it is too close to ‘sermonating’” (Well, that has to be a favorite. LOL)

The Word is Truth.
Truth sets the captive free.
Truth rattles those who choose to be enslaved.

Will you received the Truth of the Word?
Or…
Will you give lip-service to the Word while rejecting it and remaining enslaved to the lies of the evil one, man and yourself?

Rev 1:3
Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy,
and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.
