“Two Masters”

Blessings folk!

The Lord has told us to keep our eye clear.
If we keep our eye clear, then the whole body will be full of light.
But, if not…

Mat 6:22-23
“The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.

“But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness.
If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

Jesus continues…

Mat 6:24
“No one can serve two masters;
for either he will hate the one and love the other,
or he will be devoted to one and despise the other.
You cannot serve God and wealth.

We continue to see the context of Jesus’ Word - treasures.

The Truth is simple.
Either we serve God or not.
Either we are devoted to God or not.
Either we love God or not.
We can not serve/honor/worship/glorify/etc. God and something else…especially wealth.

Too many individuals and “churches” profess to be of God.
They are not.
They are “of” themselves.
They are of wealth and the pursuit thereof.

How do we know of what we are?
Take it before the Lord.

Know this, if we spend more time on pursuit, thinking, participating in anything other than the Most High, then we are serving the wrong master.

There are Two Masters.
One, the True Master, the Lord God.
The other, a false master, the world and all it entails…read again…

1Jo 2:15-16
Do not love the world nor the things in the world.
If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.

Serve Father.
Be of Him.
Not of the world.
