“Sad…”

Blessings Folk!

The world is in such pain.

Just heard that actor David Carradine died...age 72...now learn a suicide.

What kind of pain is a man of that age in to take his own life?

The world would say that he was “successful”.
He had fame.
He had fortune.
He had purpose...he was working on a new film...was in over 100…

Yet, he fulfilled that which he had threatened for years.

In the past he had stated that for years he went home every night, looked a gun by his bed, then considered taking his life.

He has now done so.

Had he heard the good news that God loved him?
Had he heard the Good News?
Had he ever encountered a true believer?

Then, we have one who is acting as if he is the savior and reconciler of mankind.
The world says he speaks eloquently...I think not...he reads measured statements.
The world says that he understands...he does not.

The president of our nation boldly stands and tells lie after lie after lie. Not just statements over which reasonable men might disagree. They are simple “historical inaccuracies” as labeled by a more diplomatic man. I call them lies.

The united States and Israel are doing that which we saw yesterday...going down to Egypt.

In the words of the Lord…”woe to them.”

The Lord tells us about a day yet to come. He speaks of if often. Here, the prophet Isaiah received the Word. We as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ know much of this now. Israel could if they would…

Meditate upon these truths...we’ll look a a portion today and the balance later...

Isa 26:1-7
1 In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: "We have a strong city; He sets up walls and ramparts for security.
2 "Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter, The one that remains faithful.
3 "The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You.
4 "Trust in the Lord forever, For in God the Lord , we have an everlasting Rock.
5 "For He has brought low those who dwell on high, the unassailable city; He lays it low, He lays it low to the ground, He casts it to the dust.
6 "The foot will trample it, The feet of the afflicted, the steps of the helpless."
7 The away of the righteous is smooth; O Upright One, make the path of the righteous level.

NASU

Look at verse 3.

The Lord will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed upon Him...the one whose focus and attention is upon the Lord...not situation nor circumstance.

Why?

Because they trust the Lord.

Let us do so.

Blessings!!
