“Bear With This Word of Exhortation”

Blessings folk!

The author of Hebrews…an amazing and fascinating book (though we have only examined chapters 11-13)…closes the letter.

Heb 13:22-25

But I urge you, brethren, bear with this word of exhortation, for I have written to you briefly.

Take notice that our brother Timothy has been released,
with whom, if he comes soon, I will see you.

Greet all of your leaders and all the saints. Those from Italy greet you.

Grace be with you all.

In the final Word, they and we are urged to bear with this Word of exhortation.
Much more could have been said.

An “exhortation” is a word that emphatically urges someone to do something.
Such is Hebrews.
We are urged to live by faith.
We are urged to live in freedom and liberty, not under the law.
We are urged to live before OneAnother in a way reflective of the Lord.

They were to note that Timothy had been released, apparently from confinement.
They hoped to visit soon.

Greetings were forwarded.
To the leaders.
To the saints (all believers).
From the writer.
From those in Italy (believers).

Finally, grace is spoken upon them.

How different our relationships would be is we would begin with grace and end with grace.

Manifest His grace in all things today.
