"Boldly…"

“Boldly…”

Blessings folk!

Paul states that he has written boldly to the church at Rome.

Why?

Read and see what the Lord says...

Romans 15:15-16
15 But I have written very boldly to you on some points so as to remind you again, because of the grace that was given me from God,
16 to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, ministering as a priest the gospel of God, so that my offering of the Gentiles may become acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

He wrote strongly to remind them.
Remind.
They already had heard.
They already knew.
They simply needed to be reminded.
Reminded of what?
Well, one would have to read through the previous portion of the letter.
Some of the issues addressed were:

  • accepting OneAnother
  • spiritual gifts
  • the Gospel
  • Israel
Many things.

Paul acknowledges that it is the grace of God that enables him to speak these things.
This grace was given so that Paul was a “minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles.”
He literally brought the gospel of God...as a “priest”.
He desired that they would be acceptable in their walk before God.
He desired that they would be sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

The same applies today.
We are an offering to the Most High God.
We are sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
Are you living boldly before the Lord?
Are you speaking boldly?
