“Do Not Fear. I AM With You”

Blessings folk!

Isaac had moved from place to place seeking a land that had the room he needed.

He dug wells along the way.
Several.

Then, this happened…

Gen 26:23-25

Then he went up from there to Beersheba.

The LORD appeared to him the same night and said,
“I am the God of your father Abraham;
Do not fear, for I am with you.
I will bless you, and multiply your descendants,
For the sake of My servant Abraham.”

So he built an altar there and called upon the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there; and there Isaac’s servants dug a well.

The Lord appeared to Isaac at night.
The Lord confirmed His Promise to Abraham…through Isaac.

Note what God said.
How did He say it?

The Lord told Isaac Who He was - the God of his father Abraham.

Then, the Lord told him “do not fear”.
Why?
Because “I AM with you”.

Then, the Lord reiterated the Promise to Isaac…
I will bless you.
I will multiply your descendants, for the sake of My servant Abraham.

Isaac’s response.
He built an altar there.
He called upon the name of the Lord.
He pitched his tent there.
He dug a well.

Remember, this is “the Isaac” that Abraham was about to sacrifice.

The Lord now tells Him to “fear not”.

Fear not folk.
The Lord is with us!
