“Filled/Speak/Sing/Thanks/Submit”

Blessings Folk!!

So…
Do not be drunk.
Be filled with the Holy Spirit.

As we live full of the Holy Spirit we will…

Ephesians 5:18-21

18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

• speak to OneAnother in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs
• sing, make melody in our heart to the Lord
• give thanks always for all things...unto God...in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ
• submit ourselves to OneAnother in the fear of the Lord

We learn much about lov’n OneAnother in this passage.

We are to submit ourselves to OneAnother in the fear of the God.
Most do not do this. Especially leaders within the Body.
If we live in mutual submission in the Lord the life of the Body would be transformed.

We are to speak to OneAnother in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs.
How different our conversation would be if we spoke only from the Holy Spirit.
How different the life of the Body would be if we praised the Lord constantly (psalms), if we spoke of the great works and doctrine of God (hymns) and if we spoke only what the Spirit desired to say through us (spiritual songs).
Singing.
Making melody in your heart to the Lord.

We are to give thanks in all things.
Not give thanks “for” all things. Many things are difficult.
We are to give thanks unto God the Father in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Meditate upon that.

Let us do these things today.
Filled.
Speak.
Sing.
Thanks.
Submit.

The Lord will release His glory!
