“ungodly”

Blessings folk!

Enoch prophesied of the times of Jude...and of our times.
Enoch did so thousands of years before.

Read carefully his words…

Jude 14-16
14 It was also about these men that Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord came with many thousands of His holy ones,
15 to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”
16 These are grumblers, finding fault, following after their own lusts; they speak arrogantly, flattering people for the sake of gaining an advantage.

The Holy Spirit leads Jude to recount the Word of the Judgment from the Lord through Enoch.

The Lord came...note the tense, though yet future, it is as if it has happened...surety… with many thousands of His holy ones.
The Lord will execute judgment upon all.
The Lord will convict all the ungodly.
The Lord will convict them of their ungodly deeds which they have done in an ungodly way.
Note…”ungodly” four times.

The Lord them describes these ungodly.

They are sinners.
They have spoken against Him.
They are grumblers.
They are fault-finders.
They follow after their own lusts.
They speak arrogantly.
They flatter people for the sake of gaining an advantage.

Things that we see daily.

The question is, “do we see it in ourselves?”

If our pattern and practice of of behavior is such, then we need to examine our faith.

One cannot be a Spirit-filled Believer and grumble constantly.
One cannot be a Spirit-filled Believer and find fault as a pattern of life.
Etc. Etc.

Listen to the conviction of the Spirit.
Repent.
Confess.
Press on.
Be not one of those who have crept in.
