“600 Years”
Blessings folk!
We have been told twice already, Noah did everything the Lord commanded. Such a simple thing, yet so neglected by the Body of Christ. Doing what the Lord commands/instructs.
We would do well to examine everything we do, especially as “the church”, to see if it aligns with the commandments of the Lord.
We might be surprised. Perhaps much with which we struggle is due to our lack of obedience to the Lord? I think so.
The story continues...
Gen 7:6-9 Now Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of water came upon the earth.
Then Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him entered the ark because of the water of the flood.
Of clean animals and animals that are not clean and birds and everything that creeps on the ground,
there went into the ark to Noah by twos, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.
We have a hard time imagining - 600 years old.
As a side-note. Had someone ask me this week about “primitive, cave” men. Who they were? What they were?
The skeletal remains we have look different in some ways. Looks to me like someone that might have lived hundreds of years...thicker bones, etc.
Noah... His family... The animals...clean and otherwise... All went into the ark as the Lord commanded Noah.
They entered the safety of the provision of the Lord. They were prepared for the judgment of God.
Are you? Have you entered the “Ark” that is the Lord Jesus? Are you protected from His wrath to come?
Today is the day of salvation. Confess. Repent. Call upon His name.
Believe.
