“You Made Known and Provided”
Blessings folk!
The people were confessing before the Lord.
They were declaring the great things He had done for them.
They had previously declared the Lord had led their ancestors, come down on Mt. Sinai and given them just and good regulations, instructions, decrees and commandments.
They continue…
They knew all the Lord had done.
They rejoiced in it.
They also knew what their forefathers had done.
The Lord had done much for them.
Their forefathers were ungrateful.
They sinned.
The Lord has done much for us.
We are too often ungrateful.
We sin.
Let us repent.
Let us rejoice in the God our salvation.

“So You made known to them Your holy sabbath,
And laid down for them commandments, statutes and law,
Through Your servant Moses.
“You provided bread from heaven for them for their hunger,
You brought forth water from a rock for them for their thirst,
And You told them to enter in order to possess
The land which You swore to give them.
“But they, our fathers, acted arrogantly;
They became stubborn and would not listen to Your commandments.
The Lord…
- Made known to them…Sabbath…commandments, statutes, law
- Provided bread from heaven
- Provided water from a rock
- Told them to enter to possess the land
They knew all the Lord had done.
They rejoiced in it.
They also knew what their forefathers had done.
- Acted arrogantly
- Became stubborn
- Would not listen to God’s commandments
The Lord had done much for them.
