“Devil Leaves…”
Blessings folk!
Jesus was tempted by the evil one three times
Food.
Power.
Worship.
Remember, Jesus was tired, hungry, physically weak.
Remember, Jesus responded with each temptation with the Word of God.
So should we.
Jesus then to satan to “go”.
Satan left…
Mat 4:11
Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him.
But, look at what Luke tells us…
Luk 4:13
When the devil had finished every temptation, he left Him until an opportune time.
The devil left until a more opportune time.
Satan was not finished.
He would do more.
He would tempt.
He would distract.
We see it through all of Jesus’ time on earth.
The ultimate “opportune time” that satan seized was in the garden of Gethsemane when he came against Jesus.
Through it all, Jesus stood firm in Father.
Jesus stood firm.
Jesus spoke the Word.
Satan left…
Jas 4:7
Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Then Father sent angels to minister to Jesus.
The Lord will do the same for us…
If we wait upon Him…
If we abide in Him…
If we submit to Him…
