Neh 9:28-29a

“But as soon as they had rest, they did evil again before You;
Therefore You abandoned them to the hand of their enemies, so that they ruled over them.
When they cried again to You, You heard from heaven,
And many times You rescued them according to Your compassion,

And admonished them in order to turn them back to Your law.

As soon as the rest of the Lord came upon the people…they did evil again!

Therefore, God abandoned them.
They were given into the hands of their enemies…again.
Their enemies ruled over them.

The people then cried again unto the Lord.
He heard from heaven.
He rescued them.
Many times.
Repeatedly.
According to His compassion.

The Lord admonished them, repeatedly, to turn back to the Law of the Lord.

The Lord does the same today.

Return to the Way of the Lord.
Reject the way of man.
Rejoice in the goodness and compassion of the Lord.
