“Disciples...oneanother”

Blessings folk!

OneAnother.
We are to love OneAnother.

In examining the occurrence of the word “one another” in the Word we learn much about the relationship of the disciples.

Read the following and note what we learn…

Mark 4:41
They became very much afraid and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”
Mark 8:16
They began to discuss with one another the fact that they had no bread.
Mark 9:10
They seized upon that statement, discussing with one another what rising from the dead meant.
Mark 9:34
But they kept silent, for on the way they had discussed with one another which of them was the greatest.

The disciples were afraid and discussed it with one another…
The disciples began to discuss with one another the lack of bread...they blamed one another.
The disciples seized upon the statement...discussed what “rising from the dead meant”.
The disciples discussed...aggressively...which of them was the greatest. They kept silent when confronted by Jesus.

We see they faced…

  • fear
  • lack of food, “mistakes”
  • confusion over the Word
  • the tendency to exalt self

May we have eyes to see.
May we have ears to learn.
