"Shacking-Up With Seducing Spirits"

“Shacking-Up With Seducing Spirits”

Blessings Folk!!

I have been asked by many in recent days what I thought of a book called “The Shack.”

Therefore, I decided a few months back to read it...had it laying around the house somewhere.

I’d actually started it when it was first released, but didn’t get far.

This time I think I read 60-70 pages.

I just couldn’t “get into it.”

Now, one of the things that I think I’m suppose to do is sift through stuff for that portion of the Body of Christ I encounter...have done it for years. Often the Lord will lead me to read something and I don’t understand why. Later I learn why. Someone will have a question. Someone will be confused.

I thought such would be the case this time.

Still, I couldn’t finish it.

I think the Lord was sparing my time. Also showing that I don’t have to “read ‘em all.”

Albert Mohler wrote a wonderfully brief and concise review of the book. It encapsulates much of what I have heard.

Read it here - http://tinyurl.com/y9ks79n

This book is having high impact among those who profess to be believers.

What is being revealed is that much of the church doesn’t know the truth of the Lord.

Sunday School classes are discussing the book.
Groups are formed around it.

I’m reminded of an acquaintance who said, “Oh, we don’t study the Bible at our church. We read books.”

We should not be surprised.

The Lord told us such would happen.

In the last days there would be deception.
In the last days folk would heed and exalt in the doctrines of man.
In the last days folk would want to have their ears tickled.
In the last days some within the faith would give heed to doctrine of demons.

Don’t believe me?

1 Timothy 4
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2 Timothy 4
1 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:
2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,
4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

Many more passages warn us of this.

You have now been warned.

To what do you give the greatest time?
The works of man?
The Word of God?

Remember, the strategy of the enemy is to insert deception into that which looks like the truth.

Therefore,
Seek the Lord.
Saturate yourself in His Word.
Then, you will be equipped to walk yourself and those around you through the fiery land mines of the enemy.

Blessings!!

“We Are Seeing It…”

Blessings folk!

Let me ask you to take some time to view two short videos.

These reveal something that has been in my mind for years now.

I received this from Gary North...get his stuff daily...here is what he said…

We know that the pace of social change is accelerating.
This is because the cost of bandwidth is falling.
Falling bandwidth costs? That is the main cause? Yes.
In a wired world, cheaper wires determine the future of society.

Before, the engine of social change was the falling cost of accumulating digital information, beginning in 1890 (the first digitized census -- punch cards) through -- approximately -- the advent of the World Wide Web in 1995.

Why do I lay so much emphasis on information costs as the central factor?
Because information is at the heart of society.
Think of the modern world without Gutenberg's invention of movable type.
We would still live in the Middle Ages.

Since 1890, the cost of gathering and manipulating information has fallen exponentially. It was cut in half every three years, 1910-1950.
Then it was cut in half every two years, 1950-1985.
Then every 18 months, 1965-2000. It is now
falling by half every year.
Nothing in man's history has every doubled this rapidly for a century -- and not just rapidly, but at an accelerating rate. This is truly unique in man's history. Nothing else compares with it.

Today, the falling cost of distributing new information is the engine of social change. Why? Because the distribution technology opens up existing markets or creates new markets for the financially average Joe. He need not be too media savvy these days. Blogs and YouTube have opened up these markets. These markets are beyond government control. They evolve too fast for the regulators to police.
The flood of information is overwhelming the Establishment and its various sub-establishments. There is nothing that it (they) can do about it. They are like Soviet bureaucrats when the photocopy machine replaced carbon paper.
They could not do without it, but they could not survive with it.

Two short videos produced by Socialnomics have the same format. First, a series of brief statistical reports that show change on a colossal sale at breakneck speed. Second, background music provided by Fatboy Slim -- music that is simultaneously grabbing yet alien. That's what we are facing socially. The music conveys this.
The first video is the latest summary. It is out of date. It is not yet four months old.

Here is what I’m thinking.

Gary is correct.

Also, we are literally seeing the fulfillment of what God told Daniel.

At the end of his life, Daniel asked the Lord what all this meant? What of the dreams? What of the visions? What of the experiences? Daniel was old...likely over 100, yet he did not understand all.

God’s response?

Daniel 12
8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
 9 And he said,
Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
 13
But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

In the last verse God tells Daniel that he would go his way and rest - he would die. But, he would arise again at the end of the days.

Just prior to this, Daniel had received some amazing information. Read carefully.

Daniel 12
1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
 3
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book,
even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

I am convinced. What we are experiencing with the rise of the “information age” is that of which the Lord spoke to Daniel.

People are running to and fro. Just in our family, we think nothing of hopping on a plane and being 850 miles away in 3 hours.

Knowledge is increasing. These videos show how.

Video 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIFYPQjYhv8&feature=player_embedded

So, what is the point for us?

What are you gonna do?

Are you using email, Facebook, LinkedIn, Myspace (does anybody use that anymore? Happy), blogs, websites, etc. to the praise and the glory of God?

Gone are the days when we would wait months to receive a letter of correspondence.
Gone are the days when we awaited “a wire.”
Gone are the days of the telephone call.
Gone are the days of email...fewer and fewer depend upon it.
We are in the time of instant communication...text, chat, Skype, status.

Are you using all for the Kingdom?

If you are true believer, then you are the one that the Lord will use to touch folk.
You are the one in whom He will release answers.
You are the one who manifest love.

Quit waiting to “take someone to church.” You are the church.
Quit insisting that they talk with some “professional”. You have the Most High God dwelling in you. Depend up Him.

Be ready in season and out of season.

Use all that He has granted unto us...to the praise of the glory of His grace.

Take it to the Lord.
Listen for what He is saying.
I suspect that He is revealing plans beyond anything we could imagine!!

Blessings!

“Jesus, Hope of the…”

Blessings Folk!!

I assume that all have heard of the earthquake that occurred in Haiti this past week.

The damage, suffering, death, etc. is nearly incomprehensible...even with video evidence streaming before us daily.

There are some things we should do.

We must pray without ceasing for the Haitians.
We must help as the Lord leads.
We must give heed to the Word of the Lord, realizing that the days are short.

Yesterday, during our corporate gathering as the Body, we sang one of my favorite songs, “Jesus, Hope of the Nations”...a wonderful song of truth from Brian Doerksen, a great, humble psalmist of the Lord. http://www.briandoerksen.com

Well...here...read the words…I’ll include the chords so you can play along!

Better yet. Listen to it as you follow words. (Mp3 file attached...different computers will handle it different ways...click name, icon, etc.)

What had been going through my mind for days was “Jesus, Hope of the Haitians.”
We sang it that way. A prophetic proclamation of truth.

Jesus told us of many things that would occur in the last days. Here is one.

Matt 24:7-8
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

KJV

Last week there were earthquakes in Haiti, Oklahoma, Argentina...

More will come. Read all of Matthew 24-25 soon.

Why do such things occur?

The “big answer” is that due to the rebellion of man sin and death came into the world.

God is totally aware of these things.

It breaks His heart.

Could God have stopped the earthquake? Absolutely.
Why did he not? We do not know. But, we do know in Whom we trust.

Much has been said and written about Pat Robertson’s comment about a curse upon the people of Haiti.

I’m probably saying “more than I know”, as Paul Harvey would say, yet this is what I’m thinking at the moment.

There is historical evidence that the Haitian people were the first to throw off the chains of slavery. They resisted their oppressors, the French at the time, and their oppressor’s god - christianity in the form of catholicism. Apparently the Haitians decided to side with the enemy of their enemy - satan.

Now, do not hear me wrong.

I’m not saying that the earthquake occurred due to a particular act.

Such will increase in the last days.

Rom 8:22
For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.
NASU

I am saying that there is a battle within the heavenlies between the forces of light and darkness.

I am saying that things happen within the physical due to the sin of man in the garden of Eden.

I am saying that the perversion of the truth is leading many astray.

If the French had come to Hispaniola as bearers of the True Light rather than conquerors and oppressors with a religion, what might have happened?

The sad truth is that the perversion of the gospel and Body of Christ caused an entire nation to side with the enemy.

Today, many Haitians adhere to a volatile cocktail of voodoo and catholicism.

The blood of Jesus will wash them clean.

Many within our society adhere to a destructive mix - materialism and “christianity.”

The blood of Jesus will wash us clean.

Finally, the last portion of Genesis 9 gives insight.

Gen 9:20-27
20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:
21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
26 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
KJV

This passage has been used too often to support despicable deeds that are not of God.

This passage does give us some understanding. Perhaps we will discuss it later.

For now, whether we are of the lineage of Shem, Ham or Japheth, only the blood of Jesus will break the curse of sin and death.

Proclaim the freedom available through the Blood of Jesus.

Speak the blood of Jesus over yourself, over your family, over all around you!

One more thing.

Take a moment and give thanks today for one of the greatest leaders that the Lord has raised upon our land.
A man of absolute faith and trust in the Lord.
A man of impeccable character and lifestyle.
A man who led a nation through the most troubling of times.
A honorable warrior.
A fearless man of the Kingdom.

“Study!”

Blessings Folk!

Schools are cranking back up…”public”, private, homeschool…

Pray for the students, the teachers, the administration and all the support personnel.

For those of us who have “finished school” there is still much to be done.

Whether in or out of school, we as believers have a higher calling.

We must know the truth of the Word of the Lord.

We will be held accountable. We have unprecedented access to the Word. We have unprecedented abilities to communicate, to hear, to speak, to impact the world.

The Truth of the Word will enable us to stand firm in the face of untruth such as:

Therefore, let us put into action what the Lord tells us -

2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

If you are in “school”, study. Do your best - to the praise and honor and glory of God. Learn the strategies and teachings of the enemy and the world. Swallow the meat and spit out the bones. Yet, give the best time to the Word. Seek His discernment, enlightenment, illumination, revelation and knowledge.

If you are “outta school”, study. Give heed to the Lord and His Word.

If you spend more time with

  • television
  • radio
  • books (even books about the Bible/God/etc.)
  • movies
  • sports
  • “amusements” (you do know what that word means?… “a” means “not”…”muse” means to “think upon, reflect”...therefore “amusement” means “not to think or reflect”...also, "to stare stupidly at, be bewildered")

...than you do the things of the Kingdom, then some adjustment might be in order.

Locally, we are about to begin a new study - 2 Samuel/1 Chronicles, “David, A Man After God’s Own Heart.” Come and join us. Monday at 6 p.m. or Tuesdays at 9 a.m. Send me an email for details.

If you live afar, you can also participate.

- You might just want to read the appropriate portion of the Word. I’ll be keeping us abreast of where we are...
- You might want to watch the video synopsis of the lessons to come - they’ll be here - http://www.dalemoore.tv

“A Place - Go!”

Blessings Folk!!

A new year has begun...according to the calendar of man.

The end of a year and the beginning of a new year often precipitates times of reflection. Take a moment and read the following. The Lord Jesus had an encounter one day. We have examined this before, but, I think we do well to be reminded often.

John 8:1-11
1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

KJV
Some quick observations.

Jesus was doing that which He did...early in the morning...in the temple...teaching folk.

The religious rulers sought to “setup” Jesus with a woman…

  • caught “in the very act”...oh yeah? Where is the man caught in the “very act”?
  • the leaders were seeking to undermine Jesus in the eyes of the people. If Jesus said to ‘stone her’ in adherence to the Law, then the people would see him as just another ruler. If Jesus said ‘stone her not’, then He would be spun as “against the Law”, a heretic.

Jesus shows us how to handle temptation and the attack of the accuser, especially the religious.
  • He acted as though He “heard them not.” Of course, He heard it all. He saw through it all. He waited upon His Father. So should we. Ignore temptation. Ignore the accuser.

Then the Word of the Lord came. This was from Father. How do I know?

John 17:8
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
KJV

The Word was simple. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Wisdom beyond man.

The religious rulers had created a scenario without flaw...they thought.
They had Jesus cornered. But, they knew not the mind of God.s

Then with the patience of the moment, with the kneeling before the Lord and doodling in sand, came the Word of the Lord.

The strategy and chicanery of man was blown away as the chaff in a hurricane.

Now, the tables were turned. What were the rulers to do? The oldest knew. They were convicted by their own conscience. Only one thing to do. Simply leave.

So, they did...beginning with the oldest.

Then the Lord did something for the woman.

He had her note where her accusers were. They were no more.
He told her that neither did He condemn her.

Hang on to this one thought…

Jesus gave her a place to begin again.

He did not condone her sin.

He told her to go and sin no more.

The Lord desires to do the same for all of us.

He desires to give us a place to begin again.

Let us seize His grace at the beginning of 2010...go, sin no more.

Blessings!!
