“gods of this world…”

Blessings Folk!!

So, the self-titled and self-styled “King of Pop” is dead, as well as the “Queen of Lust”.

Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett were both “gods of this world”, especially in the 70’s and 80’s.

I hasten to say that I do not know their relationship with the Most High God.

Jackson said “I believe in God.” This might be good, yet even the demons make the same proclamation…

James 2:19
19 You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.
NASU

It is reported that Fawcett was a devout Catholic - whatever that entails...devout Baptist, devout Lutheran, devout Scientologist… all are devoted to a religion of man. Perhaps she had true faith.

God alone will judge.

But, the passing of both emphasize the truths of the Word.

Fame is passing.
Beauty is fleeting.
Wealth and money is a trap.

Prov 31:30
30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
NASU

The pursuits of the flesh and the glory of man is like the grass...it grows quickly and dies quicker…

1 Peter 1:24-25
24 For, "ALL FLESH IS LIKE GRASS, AND ALL ITS GLORY LIKE THE FLOWER OF GRASS. THE GRASS WITHERS, AND THE FLOWER FALLS OFF,
25 BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER." And this is the word which was preached to you.
NASU

James 1:7-11
7 For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,
8 being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
9 But the brother of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position;
10 and the rich man is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.
11 For the sun rises with a scorching wind and withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so too the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will fade away.
NASU

Let us walk in the humility of the Lord.
Let us not seek the fame and fortune of the word, but rather, may we seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

Do not seek to be exalted in the eyes of the world.
Seek the Lord…

Matt 23:11-12
11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
KJV

1 Peter 5:6-7
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
KJV

Only godliness and holiness in the Lord brings true happiness and contentment…

1 Tim 6:6-10
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
KJV

Do pray for those left behind.
Do speak forth the Word of Truth in season and out of season.
Do resist the temptation of the world to be entrapped in the pursuit of anything other than the Lord.

Pray for those on the Prayer page…

“Avoid Such…”

Blessings Folk!!

As we have seen, we are to be ready “in season and out of season”.

Why?

Because the time will come, and is here, when “they will not endure sound doctrine.”

I believe that this is a directed Word to the Body of Christ.

The Church has rapidly turned to those who…
  • tickle ears
  • teach according to their own desires...power, money, prestige, etc.
  • teach myths...not the Truth of the Lord.

We have examined these things.

Paul had warned Timothy earlier in the letter that certain men would arise.

Note a couple of things.

The timing - in the last days.
From where - they would “arise”. I think from within the Body.

Hear the Word of the Lord

2 Tim 3:1-5
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

KJV

Read another translation…

2 Tim 3:1-5
3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.

NASU

One more version...this helps to understand what the various descriptive terms mean.

2 Tim 3:1-5
1 But know this: difficult times will come in the last days.
2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, without love for what is good,
4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to the form of religion but denying its power. Avoid these people!

(from Holman Christian Standard Bible® Copyright © 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2005 by Holman Bible Publishers.)

This describes many who “are in the church.”

They “hold to a form of godliness/religion”, yet they deny the power of the Most High God.

We must be ready in season and out of season to deal with this.

We must reprove.
We must rebuke/correct.
We must encourage with great patience and long-suffering.
We must encourage and exhort with correct doctrine.

We have been warned through the words of Jesus, John, Paul and Peter that these type would arise...especially in the last days.

The time has come to no longer allow those who are…

  • lovers of self
  • lovers of money
  • boastful
  • proud
  • blasphemers
  • disobedient to parents
  • ungrateful
  • unholy
  • unloving
  • irreconcilable
  • slanderers
  • without self-control
  • brutal
  • without love for what is good
  • traitors
  • reckless
  • conceited
  • lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God

...to run rough-shod over the Body of Christ.

These false profess-ors are the tares of which Jesus warned.

So, what do we do?

First, be certain that you are not one of these individuals.
Second, speak the truth to them.
Third, avoid such.

Stand firm in the truth.

If you find yourself in a situation where such people are “ruling” and refuse to repent, then leave.

Let them have their “form of godliness.”

Seek the Lord.
He will guide you.

Pray for those here - http://www.dalemoore.tv/page9/page9.html

“in Season, Out of Season” - why?

Blessings Folk!!

As we have been discussing, we are to be ready in season and out of season to proclaim the truth, the Word of God.

Each of us.

Not just a select orator.

Yes, yes...there are those who have spiritual gifts of speaking, but that does not mean that others are exempt from speaking truth.

Why are we to be ready?

We touched on a portion of this during our last time together. Let’s continue…

2 Tim 4:3-4
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;

Who is “they”?
The “church”?
The world?

We expect the world to not endure sound doctrine. By definition, they have yet to be redeemed if they are still in the world. They would not be under the doctrine - teaching - of the Lord.

I suspect that the Lord is referring to the Body of Christ - the church. Paul had been instructing Timothy in the two canonical letters, especially related to the Body of Christ and leadership.

We have arrived at a level within the Body that I think would surprise Paul.

The church today does not endure sound doctrine.

Most of our times together to examine the Word begins with “what do you think?” rather than “what does the Word say?”

So much of the “professing church” wants the following...

but wanting to have their ears tickled,
Most want to have their ears tickled.
They want to hear what they want to hear.
They do not truly care to hear the Word of the Lord.
They just want a cute religious exercise to exorcise their guilt...then a chance to do it all over again.
They are not truly interested in being transformed…

Therefore...

they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,
4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

NASU

They accumulate pastors, teachers, leaders and the like that will align with their own desires and wants.
They reject the truth.
They turn to myths.

You may know, if not, you would be amazed at how many people who profess to be believers are absolutely convinced by the lies of…

Dan Brown (the novelist)
Charles Darwin
John Edwards (not the politician)
John Spong
etc. etc.

These are deceived always wanting to hear a new truth...always wanting to know something that no on else knows...all the while they become twice the sons of hell as those they adore.

Folk, these are serious times.

More evil days are rapidly coming.

Will you stand in the truth of the Lord, or will you continue to go about pursuing the world while playing a religious game?

Let us confess, repent and press on in the glory of the Most High God.

Blessings!!

“In Season, Out of Season”

Blessings Folk!!!

This summer at a pool-side gathering we are/will be examining the phrase “in season, out of season.” The truths therein are profound and for all, so I’ll be posting some of them during our times together here.

Paul was at the end of his life.
He had run the race.
He had been faithful.
Perfect? No way!!
But, faithful.

He was in prison.
His first prison experience had been relatively comfortable...house, guests, etc.
This time things were different.
He was cold.
He abandoned by most.
Apparently his court appearance had not gone well. He knew eternity was near.

The Spirit of the Lord moved upon him to write to Timothy. This is the letter that we call “2 Timothy.”

Paul was passing to his protege, and to us, the truths necessary...we will examine many.

Today, hear this.

We, true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, must be ready in season and out of season.
Let us look at this phrase by phrase….

2 Tim 4:1-3
1 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus,

...this is not something that Paul was “making up.” He received this from Father God and Jesus Christ. This charge comes about because of the things he had written in the previous three chapters...we’ll check that out later. He gives further insight...

who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:

Paul is charging Timothy, and us, by the One Who will judge all..the dead and the living...both in the corporeal and the spiritual sense. The Lord will judge unbelievers at the Great White Throne. The Lord will judge the saved at the Bema seat.
By His appearing and His kingdom Paul charges us.
This is serious.

2 preach the word;

Don’t let this scare you. Too often we think that we must become “a preacher” in the understanding that most of us have experienced in our lives.

Untrue.

Timothy was to “preach.”

We are to “preach” within the giftedness that the Lord releases within each of us.
This will be different with each believer.

We are to speak forth and live forth the truth of the Lord. Then...

be ready in season and out of season;

We must be ready to speak forth the truth..

  • in season...when expected..anticipated
  • out of seaon...unexpected time…”unprepared”
  • everywhere
  • anytime

Note that this is for each believer.

We must move beyond the days of the “let me take you to my pastor” mindset.

If a situation manifest before us, then the Lord wants to use us.

Now quickly, how are we to speak forth the Word in season and out of season?

reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.

We are to reprove...correct someone who is walking in ignorance.
We are to rebuke...correct someone walking in sin, rebellion, etc.
We are to exhort...encouragement is a mom helping her children. Exhortation is the football coach grabbing a players helmet, shaking and saying “you can do it...get in there!!”
We are to do this with great (all) patience.
We are to instruct constantly!

We will see much more later...but one more thought on which we will follow up tomorrow.

Why must we do this?

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;...

NASU

As we will see, this is speaking to those who profess to be of the church.

Timothy was warned that the time will come.

I tell you, the time has arrived.

Sound doctrine, correct teaching of the truths of God, is not endured today.

Want to see a picture of what passes as sound doctrine today?
YouTube

Want another? Gird your stomach...
YouTube

Big church...30-40,000
Big smile…
Big book sales…
Big public relations…
Loved by the world…
“He must be blessed of God…”...humm….

Yet leading the world to everlasting condemnation in the lake of fire.
Leading the sheep astray.

...because he does not speak the truth of the Word.

I could point to more...many at the local level...that literally deny the Word of God...

More later.

As for now, seek the Lord. Confess. May we all be ready in season and out of season.

Blessings!!

“Free Abortions in Honor of…”

Blessings Folk!!

Many of you know that I also do a regular “Podcast”...a short audio time usually focusing upon the news of the day. You can find it at http://www.dalemoore.tv
Most of y’all’s computers should be able to play it… Happy Happy Happy

These written times are more oriented around the Word of the Lord for us today.

The two formats often are related.

Today is an example.

Listen to the podcast. It deals with several ongoing stories of the day, one of which is that a Philadelphia abortion clinic gave away free abortions yesterday.

Why?

In honor of Dr. Tiller.

You will remember that Tiller was the abortionist that was murdered a couple of weeks back.

Tiller was the focal point of the “late-term” abortion debate due to his forthright support and implementation of abortion at any stage of pregnancy. He declared himself to be one of a few doctors who “provided such services.”

A spokesman from the Philadelphia clinic stated that the free abortions were provided in “memory and legacy” of Dr. Tiller.

What a legacy.

But, this is nothing new.

The Lord warned His children to avoid such actions. He told Israel not to participate in the child-sacrifice pagan religions by “passing the children through the fire.” (Child sacrifice to a god.)

Lev 18:21
21 And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord .

KJV

Many of the leaders of Israel committed this sin.

2 Kings 16:2-3
2 Twenty years old was Ahaz when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and did not that which was right in the sight of the Lord his God, like David his father.
3 But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out from before the children of Israel.

KJV

2 Kings 23:9-10
9 Nevertheless the priests of the high places came not up to the altar of the Lord in Jerusalem, but they did eat of the unleavened bread among their brethren.
10 And he defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech.

KJV

2 Chron 33:1-6
1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem:
2 But did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord , like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.
3 For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.
4 Also he built altars in the house of the Lord , whereof the Lord had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.
5 And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord .
6 And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the Lord , to provoke him to anger.

KJV

Ezek 16:20-21
20 Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter,
21 That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?

KJV

Deut 18:10-13
10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord : and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
13 Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God.

KJV

This is not a small matter.

Having a society and leadership that are willing to “pass children through the fire”...to sacrifice them is nothing new.

In days past is was done as worship to some god.

Today, it is done as worship to the god of “Self”.
Abortion is normally done for the sake of convenience and personal preference.

We will hear more of this.

The confirmation procedure for a new Supreme court judge will begin in about a month. The bottom line with many is whether the judge will support abortion.

It will be unsaid.

Euphemisms will reign.

Yet, the eye of the Lord will see all.

There are many that profess to be a true believer, yet, strongly support a “woman’s right to choose”.

They speak of “choice”.
They speak of “fair”.
They speak of “when life begins”.

I would suggest that you look at the featured video here…

This is my “yet to be born” granddaughter - Eliza Grace Golden.

Is she alive?
What is “fair” to her?

Can someone profess faith in the Lord, yet think it permissible to terminate her?

Seek the Lord today. May we ask Him to forgive us for the blood that we have allowed to be spilled upon our land. It is upon our hands.

Pray that the Lord will be glorified!!

Now, Isaiah.

Different English translations of this passage provide varied nuances and interpretations. Here is the Authorized Version.

Isa 26:13-21
13 O Lord our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.
14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.
15 Thou hast increased the nation, O Lord , thou hast increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.
16 Lord , in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them.
17 Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O Lord .
18 We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.
19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.
20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
21 For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

KJV

The bottom line truth from this passage is that the Lord is coming out of his place (heaven) to punish the inhabitants of the earth.

Though we live in a time of ever-increasing sin…
Though we live in a time when the lie is looked upon as the truth…
Though we live in a time when all hope is placed in man…

Fear not! The Lord is coming.

The Lord will soon come and will righteously judge the evil.
Iniquity will find its reward.
The earth will disclose her blood and shall no more cover her slain.

The dead in Christ will arise to life everlasting in His Presence.
The dead in the world will arise to death everlasting in the lake of fire...always consuming, never consumed.

Therefore, press on.

Though we have evil lords over us, the day is coming…
Though we have religious liars propagating a false gospel, the day is coming…
Though many in the professing church are sidetracked by activity, the day is coming…

Rejoice!

And make ready!

Blessings!!

“Await Eagerly”

Blessings Folk!!

Been meaning to tell you for several days...duh…

Go here - http://www.youtube.com/jubileeprecept - have uploaded several new videos… all short…
  • Lenee’s 3D/4D sonograms...you can see our newest granddaughter, Eliza Grace Golden
  • Joshua video course complete
  • Then tons of other stuff...entire Revelation course, some music videos from group at church (more coming...much better), etc.

Now, let us continue from yesterday…

Isa 26:8-13
8 Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, O Lord , We have waited for You eagerly; Your name, even Your memory, is the desire of our souls.
9 At night my soul longs for You, Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently; For when the earth experiences Your judgments The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
10 Though the wicked is shown favor, He does not learn righteousness; He deals unjustly in the land of uprightness, And does not perceive the majesty of the Lord .
11 O Lord , Your hand is lifted up yet they ado not see it. They see Your zeal for the people and are put to shame; Indeed, fire will devour Your enemies.
12 Lord , You will establish peace for us, Since You have also performed for us all our works.
13 O Lord our God, other masters besides You have ruled us; But through You alone we confess Your name.

NASU

Have you waited eagerly for the judgment of the Lord?

What is the desire of your soul? Money, power, possessions, peace…?

The name of the Lord should be our desire…all that is encompassed within His Name.

Even His memory! What He has done.

Are you seeking the Lord diligently?

Upon your night bed do you long for Him?

Ps 63:4-8
Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

KJV

Do you seek peace in the processes of man?
Do you place your hope in situation or circumstance?
You will be gravely disappointed.

The Lord establishes peace for us.

Confess His name today.

Call upon the name of the Lord.

Ps 116:13
13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord .

KJV

Ps 116:17
17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord .

KJV

Rom 10:13
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

KJV

“Sad…”

Blessings Folk!

The world is in such pain.

Just heard that actor David Carradine died...age 72...now learn a suicide.

What kind of pain is a man of that age in to take his own life?

The world would say that he was “successful”.
He had fame.
He had fortune.
He had purpose...he was working on a new film...was in over 100…

Yet, he fulfilled that which he had threatened for years.

In the past he had stated that for years he went home every night, looked a gun by his bed, then considered taking his life.

He has now done so.

Had he heard the good news that God loved him?
Had he heard the Good News?
Had he ever encountered a true believer?

Then, we have one who is acting as if he is the savior and reconciler of mankind.
The world says he speaks eloquently...I think not...he reads measured statements.
The world says that he understands...he does not.

The president of our nation boldly stands and tells lie after lie after lie. Not just statements over which reasonable men might disagree. They are simple “historical inaccuracies” as labeled by a more diplomatic man. I call them lies.

The united States and Israel are doing that which we saw yesterday...going down to Egypt.

In the words of the Lord…”woe to them.”

The Lord tells us about a day yet to come. He speaks of if often. Here, the prophet Isaiah received the Word. We as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ know much of this now. Israel could if they would…

Meditate upon these truths...we’ll look a a portion today and the balance later...

Isa 26:1-7
1 In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: "We have a strong city; He sets up walls and ramparts for security.
2 "Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter, The one that remains faithful.
3 "The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You.
4 "Trust in the Lord forever, For in God the Lord , we have an everlasting Rock.
5 "For He has brought low those who dwell on high, the unassailable city; He lays it low, He lays it low to the ground, He casts it to the dust.
6 "The foot will trample it, The feet of the afflicted, the steps of the helpless."
7 The away of the righteous is smooth; O Upright One, make the path of the righteous level.

NASU

Look at verse 3.

The Lord will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed upon Him...the one whose focus and attention is upon the Lord...not situation nor circumstance.

Why?

Because they trust the Lord.

Let us do so.

Blessings!!
