"If/Then"

“If/Then”

Blessings folk!

Solomon continues to pray to the Lord at the “consecration” of the Temple.

We begin to see a pattern develop in what he is saying.

“If/then”.

2 Ch 6:24-25

“If Your people Israel are defeated before an enemy because they have sinned against You,
and they return to You and confess Your name,
and pray and make supplication before You in this house,

then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of Your people Israel,
and bring them back to the land which You have given to them and to their fathers.

Many (most/all?) of these “if” statements are prophetic of things to come.

“If Israel is defeated before an enemy…”
They would be.

What were they to do?
Return to the Lord.
Confess the name of the Lord.
Pray.
Make supplication before the Lord in that house…the Presence of the Lord.
All before the Lord.

What would God do?
Hear from heaven.
Forgive the sin of the people-Israel.
Bring them back to the land He had given them.

Oh how we need to grasp these principles, especially Believers in the the New Covenant.

Return.
Repent.
Confess.
Pray.
Supplicate.

The Lord will hear.
The Lord will forgive.
The Lord will heal the land.
