Jesus’ teaching in this passage is clear.

If someone speaks a word agains the Son of Man, they will be forgiven.
If someone blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him.

A hard teaching, yes.

Does this mean that if one blasphemes the Spirit that repentance is impossible?
I think what is being said is that the one who blasphemes the Spirit, the one who associates the Spirit with the works of the evil one, the one who rejects the Spirit’s calling, will not be forgiven.

True salvation is responding affirmatively to the drawing of the Spirit.
Those who blaspheme the Spirit reject the Spirit.

If one continues to believe that the works of the Spirit are the works of the evil one...then there is no forgiveness.

Could it also mean that if one blasphemes the Spirit then there is no forgiveness?
Yes.
This would mean that such a person was not chosen/elect.

Examine yourself.
See if you be of the faith.
