Blessings folk!

David continues his declaration of what the Lord had done for Him…a lengthy rejoicing in the power of the Most High God.

A good reminder in the “dog days of summer”…

2 Sa 22:13-15

“From the brightness before Him
Coals of fire were kindled.

“The LORD thundered from heaven,
And the Most High uttered His voice.

“And He sent out arrows, and scattered them,
Lightning, and routed them.

As we have wondered…
Literal?
Metaphor?
Poetic?

Yes!

Apparently the Lord used the weather to bring a defeat to the enemy.

He sent arrows to scatter them.
The “arrows” are described as lightning.

The Lord thundered from heaven.

David is telling us that the very creation speaks forth the utterance of the voice of the Lord.

Rejoice in this.
Rest in this.
Remember, the Lord will fight for those who are His.
