“Protected By the Power of God”

Blessings folk!

Much is to be learned and gleaned with just a cursory examination of what the Word has to say about the “power of God.”

Read what Peter wrote.
To whom was he writing?
What did he say about them?

1 Pe 1:3-5

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away,
reserved in heaven for you,

who are protected by the power of God through faith
for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Peter is blessing God.

Why?

Because of what He had done for them and us.

According to God’s great mercy He has caused us to be born again!
Born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Any “gospel” that you encounter that does not emphasize the resurrection from the dead is a false gospel.

Note what we as believers gain…

  • an inheritance
    • Imperishable
    • Undefiled
    • Will not fade away
    • Reserved in heaven for you

There is more!

We are protected by the power of God
- through faith
- for a salvation
- ready to be revealed
- in the last time

Think on that.

As a true believer your salvation is protected by the power of God.
God is protecting the salvation to be revealed in the las time.

That answers many questions that people have.

Now, as a “false professor”, “false believer”, “religionist” etc. you are not protected by the power of God.

You do not have true salvation.
You have religion.
There are many like this.
Examine yourself.
See if you are of the faith.

2 Co 13:5

Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves!
