“Be Angry, Do Not Sin”

Blessings folk!

We are to put away falsehood.
We are to speak the truth to one another.
Now, the next verse...

Ephesians 4:26-27
26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,
27 and give no opportunity to the devil.

Yes.
One can be angry and yet not sin.
The Word reveals that Jesus was angry, yet did not sin.

How can one be angry and not sin?
It is an attitude of the heart.
What is the motivation for the anger?
Selfish desire?
Personal?
Then, sin is likely involved.

If the motivation is the holiness and righteousness of God, then that is another matter.

Do not let the sun go down on your anger.
Do no allow it to fester...to brood...to percolate...etc.

Why?

Because it will give an opportunity to the devil.

“Stewed over” anger will result in unforgiveness.
Unforgiveness is a foundational strategy of the evil one.

Be angry, yet do not sin.
Hold not ought against your brother.

In all things be thankful, especially for one another.
