“Perhaps the Lord…”

“Perhaps the Lord…”

Blessings folk!

Jonathan and his body guard went after the enemy.

Think on these phrases we saw in the Word…1 Samuel 14…

Saul was staying in the outskirts of Gibeah under the pomegranate tree which is in Migron

Was he chill’n…rest’n…relax’n…wait’n to see what happened next?

Then Jonathan said to the young man who was carrying his armor,
“Come and let us cross over to the garrison of these uncircumcised;
perhaps the LORD will work for us, for the LORD is not restrained to save by many or by few.”

Perhaps the Lord will work for us.

Do we think that way?
Do we seek?
Do we expect?
Do we know that the Lord is not restrained by the many or the few?

Jonathan trusted daringly in the Lord.
He revealed himself to the enemy.

Then Jonathan said, “Behold, we will cross over to the men and reveal ourselves to them.

“If they say to us, ‘Wait until we come to you’;
then we will stand in our place and not go up to them.

“But if they say,‘Come up to us,’ then we will go up,
for the LORD has given them into our hands; and this shall be the sign to us.”

We know they were “invited” up.

But, note.

Even if not invited up, they would stand their ground while the enemy came to them.

Either way, they would battle the enemy.

They killed twenty enemy in a confined space.

The response of the enemy?

And there was a trembling in the camp, in the field, and among all the people. Even the garrison and the raiders trembled,…

The response of the Lord?

…and the earth quaked so that it became a great trembling.

When we do as the Lord says…
When we confront the enemy…
We will be victorious.
The Lord will move.
The Lord will move the earth in His rejoicing!
