Pro 25:2
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.

God will conceal a matter, to His glory.
It is the glory of kings to search out a matter.

God gives us much information in His Word.
It is the glory of the believer to search out the Truths of the Lord.

As to the matter at hand…the timing of events of “holy week”…does it matter?

It matters from the perspective that we are told to rightly and accurately handle the Word…

2Ti 2:15
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

It is important to know the Truth.
It is important to teach the Truth.
It is important to apply the Truth.

Yet, we do not allow ignorance of matters to harm the unity of the Body.

Remember…

Eph 4:3
…being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

The True Body is unified in the Spirit, by definition.
We do not have to seek unity.
We do not have to attain unity.
We are unified.
We are told to walk in a manner to preserve the unity.

Therefore, though I know that Jesus died on Wednesday afternoon (our calendar), I will still participate in “good Friday” gatherings, etc.

We are simply remembering what the Lord did.

Would we do well to adjust our traditions?
Yes.

Should we argue over it?
Absolutely not.

We would do well to celebrate and rejoice as the Lord directs in His Word.
A new Covenant interpretation of the Feasts of the Lord would be interesting…
