“Freedom, Liberty”

Blessings folk!

A brief swerve today from the parable about the Kingdom.

Today is “Patriot’s Day” in several portions of the united States.

A day that celebrates patriots, freedom, liberty and the like.

Why today?

Recognition of several events that have historically occurred on April 19…

  • Battles of Lexington and Concord in American revolution - 1775
  • Baltimore riots, first blood of the War of Northern Aggression - 1861
  • Warsaw Ghetto uprising - 1943
  • Waco, Branch Davidians murdered - 1993
  • Murrah building bombed - 1995

Man longs for freedom.
Man desires freedom.

There are great things happening at this very moment that historically that will be viewed as determinative to the freedom of all mankind.

Be reminded.

Freedom and liberty are only found in the truth of the Most High God.

John 8:36
“So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

Gal 5:1
It was for freedom that Christ set us free;
therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.

 Gal 5:13
For you were called to freedom, brethren;
only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh,
but through love serve one another.

Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil,
but use it as bondslaves of God.

True Believers are free.
Stand firm in the Lord.
Be not subject to the yoke of slavery again.
Love one another.
Rejoice in Liberty!
