“Fully Preach the Gospel of Christ”

A few more verses on the Gospel and the power of God…
Remember…
Rom 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Now…think and meditate upon this…
Rom 15:18-19
For I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me, resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed,
in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and round about as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
Paul was only going to speak of two things:
- What the Lord had done through him…
- The full gospel of Christ
Note the results:
- The Gentiles were obedient…they believed the word Paul preached, the gospel of Christ.
- They were obedient in word
- They were obedient in deed
The full preaching of the gospel of Christ is accompanied by power.
Power of signs.
Power of wonders.
Power of the Spirit.
Most of what is called “preaching” today is not.
It is talking.
It is reading.
It is “entertaining”.
It is powerless.
True preaching of the gospel will be in the power of the Spirit.
True preaching of the gospel will bring obedience…true salvation…by word and deed.
True preaching of the gospel will see the power of signs and wonders.
All else is deception
Why do we allow/support such?
Oh yeah, the “tickling of the ears” thing…
2 Ti 4:3-4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but wanting to have their ears tickled,
they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,
and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
Time’s a-wast’n.
How long will we endure/support the prominence of perversion of the gospel?
