“It Is Time…”

Blessings folk!

Note how the cry of the Psalmist intensifies.
Note what he declares.
Note what he requests/states.

Psalm 119:124-128
124 Deal with your servant according to your steadfast love,
    and teach me your statutes.
125 I am your servant; give me understanding,
that I may know your testimonies!
126 It is time for the Lord to act,
for your law has been broken.
127 Therefore I love your commandments
    above gold, above fine gold.
128 Therefore I consider all your precepts to be right;
    I hate every false way.

The Psalmist ask the Lord to deal with him according to the Lord’s steadfast love.
He wanted the Lord to teach him His statutes. A repeated requests.
He declares that he is the servant of the Lord.

The Psalmist wanted to know the statutes of the Lord.
He wanted to understand the statutes.
He wanted to know the Lord’s testimonies
He loved the commandments of the Lord...more than any gold.
He knew that the precepts of the Lord are right, therefore, he hated all false ways.

We see the emotion and the intensity of the moment when the Psalmist declares that it is time for the Lord to act.
Not because of what was occurring to the Psalmist, though he did seek relief.
But, because the law of the Lord had been broken.

This is esteem in which the Psalmist held the Word of the Lord.
Do we do likewise?
Do we live our lives according to the precepts of the Lord?
If not, why not?
