“You Have…I…”

Blessings folk!

David continues his song of thanks unto the Lord for His deliverance.

So much detail.

Pay attention.
Give heed.

Watch what the Lord did…

2 Sa 22:40-43

“For You have girded me with strength for battle;
You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.

“You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me,
And I destroyed those who hated me.

“They looked, but there was none to save;
Even to the LORD, but He did not answer them.

“Then I pulverized them as the dust of the earth;
I crushed and stamped them as the mire of the streets.

What did the Lord do for David?

  • Girded him for strength in battle
  • Subdued those who rose against him
  • Made his enemies flee “turn their backs to” him

What did the enemies do?
  • Looked for help to save them
  • Looked even to the Lord!…He did not answer them.

What did David do?
  • Destroyed those who hated him
  • Pulverized them as dust
  • Crushed them
  • Stamped them as mire in the streets

The Lord gave victory to David over the enemies from without…those outside of David’s kingdom, people, etc.

David was empowered by the Lord for victory.
He moved within this power.

We have the same power.
Those who are true believers have the Power of the Most High.
The Lord Himself dwells within us.

Now, live as David did by the power of the Lord.
