“Receive - As A Child...”

Blessings folk!

Jesus calls us to walk in humility before one another - before fellow believers.

He continues...

 Mar 9:33-37

They came to Capernaum; and when He was in the house, He began to question them, “What were you discussing on the way?”

But they kept silent,
for on the way they had discussed with one another which of them was the greatest.

Sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them,
“If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”

Taking a child, He set him before them, and taking him in His arms, He said to them,

“Whoever receives one child like this in My name receives Me;
and whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent Me.”

Jesus seized the moment to teach...as He always did.

He sat the twelve down.
He told them...if you want to be first, then be servant of all...think of yourself last.

Jesus then gave an example.
A child.
Jesus set the child before them.
Jesus then took the child in His arms.
Jesus then told them...
“Whoever receives one child like this in My name receives Me...”
“Whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent Me.”

Obviously the heart of Jesus and Father are toward the children.
We come as children.
We bring children.
We dare not hold the children back.

Receive a child in His name?
Receive Him.
Receive Him?
Actually receive Him Who sent Jesus - Father.

Have you received?
