“Let Your Word Be Confirmed”

Blessings folk!

Solomon continues to pray to the Lord…

2 Ch 6:16-17

“Now therefore,
O LORD, the God of Israel,
keep with Your servant David, my father, that which You have promised him, saying,
‘You shall not lack a man to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your sons take heed to their way, to walk in My law as you have walked before Me.’

“Now therefore, O LORD, the God of Israel,
let Your word be confirmed which You have spoken to Your servant David.

Solomon was speaking forth a promise that the Lord had made to his father David.
David’s lineage would remain upon the throne if they…

  • Walk in the way of the Lord.
  • Walk in God’s law.
  • Walk before the Lord.

Solomon was now asking that the Lord would confirm His Word spoke to David.

Solomon was king.
He desired to walk in the way of the Lord…at least at that moment.

Do we walk in the way of the Lord?
What is our desire?
