"My Lips, My Tongue"

“My Lips, My Tongue”

Blessings folk!

What comes forth from your mouth?
What do your lips articulate?
What is revealed about your heart through your speech?

Sadly, in many professing believers all that is spoken are cutting words, doubt, fear, anxiety, bitterness, unforgiveness, religious platitudes, rebellion, deceit, envy, mumbling, grumbling, complaining, gossip, division, turmoil, lies, etc. etc.

We should be as Jesus.
He only spoke words that Father said.
He only did deeds that Father instructed.

Give heed to what the Psalmist did…

Psalm 119:171-172
171 My lips will pour forth praise,
for you teach me your statutes.
172 My tongue will sing of your word,
for all your commandments are right.

His lips “poured forth praise” to the Most High.
Praise to Him.
Praise for Him.
Why?
Because the Lord teaches him His statutes.

Do we praise the Lord for such?

His tongue sang of the Word of the Lord.
Why?
Because all His commandments are right.

The praise of God should literally be pouring forth from our mouths.
Does it?
Our tongue should sing of His Word...without ceasing we should be speaking forth the Word of the Lord.

Do we?

If not, why not?
If not now, when?
