“Follow Me”

Blessings Folk!

Today’s reading:

John 21:21-25

We have made it.
You have been faithful.
A year through the Gospels.
We could begin again and new insights and revelations would pour forth.
Such is the Word.
I encourage you to remain in the Gospels regularly. Read the “red”.

For today, we see that the disciples were far from perfect when Jesus ascended.

Peter is the example.

Jesus was restoring Peter.
Jesus was showing Peter that he would lead, that he would tend and shepherd.

Peter reacted in the way that we so often do…”what about him!?”

Peter wanted to know about John.
Jesus’ response was “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!”
Of course, man took this statement and applied it improperly to John thinking that he would not die.

Jesus was making a larger point.
Worry not about what God is doing in another.
Follow Him!

Be not jealous of another.
Follow Him!

Fear not.
Follow Him!

John testified of these things.
Do you?
John wrote of these things.
Do you?

Jesus did many other things, the details of which could not be contained in all the books of the world.

As for us…
Are we following?
Are we obedient?
Are we testifying?
