“God Had Him Move…”

Blessings folk!

Stephen was before the “powers that be”.

He brought them the Word of God.

Stephen is speaking to the Jewish leadership.
He starts with the beginning of the Jews, the calling of Abram…Abraham.

Act 7:1-4

The high priest said, “Are these things so?”

And he said, “Hear me, brethren and fathers! The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran,

and said to him, ‘LEAVE YOUR COUNTRY AND YOUR RELATIVES, AND COME INTO THE LAND THAT I WILL SHOW YOU.’

“Then he left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran. From there, after his father died, God had him move to this country in which you are now living.

We see that the Lord called Abram to leave.
To leave his country.
To leave his relatives.
To go to a land yet to be revealed.

The move was transitional and in segments.
To Haran.
Then to the country where they were.

I believe a portion of this was due to Abram’s “partial” obedience.

I also believe that God calls us to times of transition.
Times when we have change.
Then change.
Then change.

I suspect this is the norm of the life of the True Believer.

Be not surprise if the Lord has you move…
