“Abram Fell On His Face”

Blessings folk!

The Lord reminded Abram…
  • that He was God Almighty
  • to walk before Him
  • to be blameless

Gen 17:1
Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him,
“I am God Almighty;
Walk before Me, and be blameless.

The Lord continues…

Gen 17:2
“I will establish My covenant between Me and you,
And I will multiply you exceedingly.”

The Lord had made covenant with Abram…we saw it beginning in Genesis 12 and Genesis 15.
The Lord had promised descendants.

Now, the Lord was telling/reminding Abram that this Covenant will be established.
He will multiply Abram exceedingly.

Think on that.
Abram was 99 years of age with one child by the handmaiden of his wife.

What was God saying?
What was Abram’s response?

Gen 17:3
Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying,

Upon hearing from the Lord…
Upon being reminded…
Abram fell on his face…in humility…in worship…in trust and faith.

May we do likewise in all things.
