“May It Be Done To Me…”

Blessings!

What was Mary’s response to all this? (See previous days)

Zacharias’ response was to doubt…to not believe.
He was stuck deaf/dumb because of it.

Mary’s response was to question how such could happen, since she was a virgin.
She did not doubt.
She simply inquired.
The angel answered “for nothing will be impossible with God.”

Mary’s next words are profound.
They should be our heart desire every moment of our life.

Luk 1:38
And Mary said, “Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

I believe that it was at this moment that Mary conceived.

She stated two truths.
She acknowledged that she was the bondslave of the Lord.
She stated that she desired the Lord to do to her according to His Word.

Do we live that way?
Do we know that as true believers we are bondslaves/bondservants?
Is it our desire for His Word to be fulfilled in us?
Or, do we seek our desire to be fulfilled in our lives.
