"Glorified"
“Glorified”
Blessings folk!
Judas left.
The Lord had told Judas/Satan to do it quickly.
Now, the Lord speaks in a most intimate manner with those remaining.
These Words were for those who believe.
These Words were for those who would carry the message forth.
These Words were for those who would face unimaginable things in the near future.
These Words were for those who would move in the Spirit…just as the Lord had done.
These Words are for us…
John 13:31-33
Therefore when he had gone out, Jesus *said,
“Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in Him;
if God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and will glorify Him immediately.
“Little children, I am with you a little while longer. You will seek Me; and as I said to the Jews, now I also say to you, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’
The time had come.
Jesus was telling them so.
He was to be glorified.
God would be glorified in Him.
He in Him and Him in He.
Yeah, I know…mystery-land.
You can nearly conjecture that Jesus was talking somewhat to Himself as He spoke to them.
He then states that He was only there a little longer.
He did so with parental compassion - “little children”.
He tells them what will happen.
They will seek for Him, but He would not be found where they were seeking.
They could not go where He was going…at that time.
Little did they know!
How blessed are we that we do know!
We know what happened afterward.
Such should encourage and exhort us to lives of power in the Spirit.
