“The Lord Will Provide”

Blessings folk!

The Lord told Abraham to cease from the sacrifice.
Isaac was spared.
Can you imagine the emotion, the relief, the confusion?

Yet, there was still an act of worship, a sacrifice, to be done.

Gen 22:13-14

Then Abraham raised his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him a ram caught in the thicket by his horns; and Abraham went and took the ram and offered him up for a burnt offering in the place of his son.

Abraham called the name of that place The LORD Will Provide, as it is said to this day, “In the mount of the LORD it will be provided.”

The Lord did as Abraham had proclaimed to Isaac.
The Lord provided for Himself a sacrifice.

Therefore, Abraham called the place Jehovah Raah.
It means…
The Lord Sees.
The Lord Considers.
The Lord Perceives.
The Lord Provides.
(Remember, words derive their meaning from context.)

The Lord is our Provider.
It is “in the mount of the Lord” that all provisions lies.

In what do you depend?
In who do you trust?

Anything other than the Lord will fail.

Hear from the life of Abraham.

Abide in the Lord.
Walk in obedience.
Trust Him and His timing.
He will provide.
