“I AM Willing”
Blessings folk!
Not only is Jesus full of compassion, He is compassion.
We might wonder if the Lord cares for us.
Does He know our situation?
Is He willing to do something?
Mar 1:40-41
And a leper came to Jesus, beseeching Him and falling on his knees before Him,
and saying, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”
Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him
and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.”
The leper had faith.
He had no doubt that the Lord could heal him.
That does not mean that the Lord “had to” heal him.
This is important.
We are called to heal people.
We are called to pray for their healing.
It is the Lord Who heals.
He decides how and when.
The leper was not playing some emotional game seeking to entrap Jesus.
He was simply stating the facts.
Jesus could heal him, if He were willing.
Jesus did not have to heal him for the leper to continue in belief.
True faith.
Jesus was moved with compassion.
Compassion from the Most High God.
Jesus then did the unthinkable.
He reached out and touched the untouchable.
Jesus declared that He was willing.
Jesus cleansed him.
We live in days of the untouchable.
Are you willing?
Will you touch?
Will you cleanse?
