Mat 4:4
But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.’”

Jesus speaks the Word of the Scripture to the tempter.

Deu 8:3
“He humbled you and let you be hungry, and fed you with manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD.

If Jesus used the Word of the Lord…yes!…the Old Testament!…to combat the tempter, how much more so should we?

Jesus did not speak to the accusation of His ability to do something.

Jesus cut to the issue.

We must live by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Father had not told Jesus to turn the stones to bread.
Therefore, Jesus did not do it.

Fear not over physical needs…bread and the like.
Live in the Word of the Lord.
Trust in the Lord.
Give heed to His Word.

Then, watch what He does.
